Financial Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Requirements:

• Proven 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and articulate financial data to stakeholders effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and efficiently.
• Deadline-driven mindset with acute attention to detail.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Positive attitude with a ’can do’ approach, embracing both manual processes and large-scale projects.
• Proactive collaborator fostering strong internal relationships for positive outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience with NetSuite Oracle accounting systems.
• Postgraduate accreditation is preferred.
• Exposure to modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• International experience.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the integrity and standards of the company’s accounting and finance functions.
• Execute month-end accounting tasks to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations with required documentation.
• Conduct bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Collect and analyze data for weekly and monthly estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts.
• Facilitate annual external audits to ensure compliance.
• Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
• Update and maintain procedural documentation.
• Support variance analysis of general ledger accounts.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the Financial Controller and VP of Finance.
