Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory as a profit center manager. Achieve Rev and LC.
- Maximize top line growth mainly through client retention, new test and service development.
- Monitor direct operating costs of laboratory by optimizing utilization of resources and cultivating best lab practices.
- Responsible for all Technical Developments and functions of the Laboratory.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory resources in an efficient manner ensuring best in class service delivery and quality.
- Achieve optimum work process flow.
- Balance capacity and work load to achieve maximum productivity.
- Continuously optimize laboratory processes and ensure required quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with Quality Manager/ In charge to apply, obtain and maintain desired accreditations and regulatory approvals in the
- laboratory.
- Manage technical support, calibration procedures, test methods and implement GMP practices in the laboratory.
- Maintenance of the laboratory equipment and its calibration status and co-ordination for procurement to get the best value on
- investments.
- Guiding scientific staff on method development, method transfer and validation as per ICH guidelines.
- Maintain Laboratory KPI’s like turnaround time, on time delivery, laboratory errors, as per global KPI recommendations.
- Conduct weekly operations meetings to address operational issues and implement preventive actions.
- Reduce the instrument down time by closely working with the vendor and maintaining right consumable inventory.
- Continuously improve and maintain the operational excellence of laboratory processes as well as organization.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Science/ Post Graduate Chemistry as subject/ BSc Chem Sp.
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in laboratory operations.
