Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Vision & Strategy
- Define and communicate the core platform vision and roadmap
- Establish platform principles focused on:
- Reusability
- Configurability
- Automation-first design
- AI-assisted experiences
- Ensure platform capabilities support multiple domains (ERP, HCM, CRM, SCM, etc.)
- Balance innovation with enterprise stability, security, and compliance
2. Platform Backlog & Prioritization
- Own and prioritize the platform-wide backlog
- Evaluate features based on:
- Cross-product reuse
- Automation impact
- AI enablement
- Reduction in custom development
- Translate platform needs into clear technical and functional epics, features, and user stories
- Drive roadmap alignment across Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams
3. Business Process Automation (BPA) & AI Enablement
- Lead the design of Business Process Automation capabilities including:
- Workflow orchestration
- Approval flows
- Rules and decision engines
- Exception handling and SLAs
- Define and evolve AI-assisted platform features, such as:
- AI-generated forms and workflows
- Intelligent routing and recommendations
- Smart validations and anomaly detection
- Ensure AI capabilities are:
- Configurable
- Explainable
- Enterprise-safe
- Human-in-the-loop where required
4. Core Platform Services Ownership
Own the end-to-end capability definition and evolution of:
- Low-Code / No-Code Platform
- Form Builder & Workflow Builder
- Notification & Communication Center
- Audit Log, Activity & Compliance Tracking
- Custom Dashboards & Report Builder
- Multi-Language & Localization Framework
- Integration, API & Event Management
Ensure platform services are:
- Multi-tenant and scalable
- API-first and extensible
- Secure, auditable, and region-ready
5. Solution Design & Architecture Collaboration
- Work closely with Architects and Engineering Leads on:
- Platform solution design
- Integration patterns
- Event-driven and workflow-based architecture
- Ensure platform services align with:
- Data governance
- Auditability
- Compliance and regulatory needs
- Act as the decision authority for platform-level trade-offs
6. Cross-Functional Enablement & Governance
- Enable product teams to adopt platform capabilities effectively
- Reduce duplication and custom implementations
- Define platform KPIs and success metrics
- Act as an escalation point for platform dependencies and conflicts
- Drive consistent platform adoption across regions and teams
Required Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
Experience
- 8–10+ years in Platform Product Management, Technical Product Leadership, or Solution Architecture
- Proven experience owning enterprise platform services
- Strong exposure to:
- Low-Code / No-Code platforms
- Business Process Automation (BPA)
- Workflow engines and rule-based systems
- AI-assisted enterprise features
- Experience delivering multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Strong Agile delivery experience
Functional & Platform Expertise
- Enterprise business platforms (ERP, HCM, CRM, SCM)
- Platform solution design
- Business process modeling and automation
- API-first and integration-driven systems
- Governance, standards, and reuse models
AI Literacy (Strategic, Not Deep Technical)
- Understanding of:
- AI-assisted configuration vs decision automation
- Confidence, explainability, and human-in-the-loop design
- Risk, bias, and compliance considerations
- Ability to position AI as a platform accelerator, not a feature add-on
Tools & Ways of Working
- Strong experience with Jira (roadmaps, backlogs, KPIs)
- Agile / Scrum / Scaled Agile environments
- Experience producing:
- Platform vision documents
- Solution design & capability maps
- Platform standards and guidelines
Certifications (Preferred)
- CSPO / PSPO / SAFe POPM
- CBAP or equivalent platform / architecture certification
