Solution Consultant - ERP

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Conduct discovery sessions and business process workshops (As-Is / To-Be)
  • Translate business requirements into structured solution designs
  • Prepare solution blueprints and configuration approach documents
  • Design scalable workflows, approval hierarchies, and automation flows
  • Ensure optimal use of platform features (low-code, workflow, reporting, dashboards)
  • Minimize unnecessary customization through smart configuration
  • Support pre-sales activities including product demos, RFP responses, and PoCs
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams
  • Lead and support UAT activities and business sign-off
  • Train key users and stakeholders during implementation
  • Identify integration requirements and cross-module dependencies
  • Provide functional documentation (BRD, FSD, SDD, process maps)
  • Ensure alignment with compliance, audit, and regional requirements
  • Capture field feedback to influence product roadmap improvements

 

Qualifications, Experience & Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in ERP implementation, solution design, architecture, consulting, or functional analysis
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or custom ERP solutions).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including finance, supply chain, engineering, and QA.
  • Experience working in Agile or structured implementation environments
  • Professional certifications such as PSPO/CSPO, PMP or ERP certifications are an added advantage.

1. ERP Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of at least one major domain:
    • Platform Core Services
    • Finance & Accounting
    • HCM
    • Supply Chain
    • CRM
    • Procurement
  • Experience implementing or configuring ERP solutions

2. Business Process Analysis

  • Strong skills in As-Is / To-Be process mapping
  • Ability to identify process gaps and optimization opportunities
  • Knowledge of BPMN or structured process modelling

3. Solution Design & Configuration

  • Experience in solution blueprinting and functional design
  • Ability to design scalable workflows and approval flows
  • Knowledge of low-code / no-code configuration principles

4. Pre-Sales & Client Engagement

  • Experience conducting product demonstrations
  • Ability to align platform capabilities with industry use cases
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills

5. Documentation & Governance

  • Strong documentation skills (BRD, FSD, SDD)
  • Ability to define functional acceptance criteria
  • Understanding of audit, compliance, and data governance basics
