Position: Senior Associate - Payroll Services

Qualifications

  • Has or recently completed a bachelor’s degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or a related field from a recognized Institute.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll or relevant field
  • Has a strong knowledge of Sri Lankan payroll regulations and statutory compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage SLAs and timelines

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and final reports before submission
  • Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (EPF, ETF, APIT Tax, etc.)
  • Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Finance, IT) and external stakeholders (clients, auditors, regulators)
  • Maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and service delivery
  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency
