Has or recently completed a bachelor’s degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or a related field from a recognized Institute.
Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll or relevant field
Has a strong knowledge of Sri Lankan payroll regulations and statutory compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
Ability to work under pressure and manage SLAs and timelines
Responsibilities
Review and approve payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and final reports before submission
Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (EPF, ETF, APIT Tax, etc.)
Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Finance, IT) and external stakeholders (clients, auditors, regulators)
Maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and documentation
Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and service delivery
Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency
