Senior Process Associate - Payroll Services

Roles & Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institute.
     
  • Minimum two years of experience in payroll or relevant HR/finance functions.
     
  • Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan payroll regulations and statutory compliance (EPF, ETF, , API tax, etc.).
     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
     
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
     
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage SLAs and timelines efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and final reports before submission.
     
  • Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
     
  • Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Finance, IT) and external stakeholders including clients, auditors, and regulators.
     
  • Maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and documentation.
     
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and service delivery.
     
  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
     
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
     
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
     
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
     
  • Proactive and adaptable with a solutions-oriented mindset
